Orhan and his family are passionate about providing memorable holiday experiences that allow guests to experience history, the natural world and village life with all their senses. Orhan was born and has lived in the village of Kapıkırı (Heracleia) his whole life. As the former mayor of the village, he continues to be dedicated to creating a dynamic and resilient tourism sector that benefits his community. Orhan is well-versed in the archeology and traditional culture of the region. He is also the devoted manager of the family’s olive grove of over 3,500 trees. He speaks German.

Oktay was born in Kapıkırı village and is following in his parents’ footsteps. Having grown up in the mountains, he is the guide of choice for hikes around Bafa Lake and enjoys leading the boating expeditions with a view to the conservation of its flora and fauna. When he is not guiding he excels at lending a listening ear to cater each tour to the particular needs of the group. He has very good knowledge of the neolithic cave paintings of the area. Oktay enjoys fishing, and is responsible for the husbandry of the family’s chickens. He loves to travel. He speaks English and German. He is First Aid certified.

Like his brother Oktay, the mountains are in Mithat’s blood. He was born and raised in the Latmos Mountains and knows the trails and surrounding countryside like the back of his hand. He is very often the first and helpful voice you will hear when you make contact with Latmos Travel on the telephone. He enjoys sharing his knowledge about the history and ecology of the region with visitors. His dream is to one day publish a book about the orchids of the Latmos Mountains. He is an amateur photographer. He speaks fluent English. His wife is a school teacher in Bafa. He has First Aid certification and Search & Rescue training.

Kerim is also a village native and, as Orhan’s cousin, part of the extended family. Kerim has many years of experience guiding the longer hiking tours and donkey trekking tours. He enjoys showing guests the living history of the area and has very good knowledge of the archeology of the region. When he is not guiding he assists in the front office and serves in the Agora Guesthouse’s restaurant. In the off-season he likes going fishing. He is a dedicated family man. He speaks German.
